Star Wolf is the opposing team to Star Fox, funded most likely by Andross & Co. Below you can find a breif summary of the character as presented in the game, including their age and motivations (or lack thereof) for fighting.

(as seen in Super Smash Bros. Melee)

Wolf O'Donnell is, unquestionably, one of the most loved characters in the Star Fox franchise. Introduced originally without an eyepatch (but with a scarred face) in the Star Fox 2 beta on SNES, Wolf became Fox's nemesis, and possibly his only true rival. He carries with him knowledge of Fox's past, as well as information concerning James McCloud, Fox's deceased father, but we are still unsure of the relationship between these two characters. In Star Fox 64, Wolf is 19 years old.

As Wolf is to Fox, Leon is to Falco.  He is a chameleon, hence the name "Leon."  Yes, it's very original, I know.  Although never fully explained in Star Fox 64, Leon has an expanded background of being a murderer and lover of torture. His derranged and twisted ideas are expressed in-game as well, with the classic line "I think I'll torture you for a while." For whatever reason, he seems fit to attack Falco whenever the opportunity presents itself, and may or may not have led a life as an assassin before joining with Star Wolf. He is 20 in Star Fox 64.

Leon shares not too different from Leon Kowalski, one of the replicants Harrison Ford must eliminate in the film Blade Runner.

Pigma is perhaps the most interesting of the group.  Formerly of the original Star Fox team, Pigma betrayed James McCloud and sided with Andross for reasons unknown.  He is blamed mostly for the loss of Fox's father, who accompanied him and Peppy Hare on a mission to scout Andross's activities on Venom years prior to Star Fox 64.  As if driven by a need to complete his betrayal, Pigma will always tail Peppy in the game, and enjoys referencing the murder of James McCloud during dogfights. He is 36 in Star Fox 64.

It is rumored that Pigma's last name, Dengar, may be a nod to the bounty hunter in Star Wars.

Originally known in Star Fox 2 as Algy, Andrew is an evolved form of the lemur character created by Argonaut. Known only for his relation to Andross--he is the mad scientist's nephew--Andrew appears in Star Fox 64 as a mere crony. Though his role is greatly expanded in Star Fox Assault, it seems that the only reason such a dunce has gotten anywhere in his life is due to his uncle's connections.

They say that water seeks its own level. In accordance, Andrew prefers tailing Slippy, but he probably the easiest of the Star Wolf team to eliminate as well. He is roughly 24 years old, although this has not been confirmed.
